Fitzgerald Performing Arts INC is a 501c3 Nonprofit organization that strives to inculcate the love of ballet, dance, and musical theatre in an artistic yet non-competitive atmosphere. We provide instruction along with performance opportunities, for students from youth to adulthood with varying levels in a comfortable environment.

All of our teachers are creative professionals who have a passion for their art form, and for teaching others. In addition to being highly accomplished in their fields, they are also energetic, positive and caring people. 

Julie Fitzgerald

Artistic Director

Julie is the founder and Artistic Director of Fitzgerald Performing Arts INC. Julie found her love for ballet at the age of 13 and started her pre-professional training at Boston Ballet School. At age 15, she continued her training at the prestigious Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts, where she then graduated. She spent every summer on Cape Cod training with Skip Warren and Thomas Vacanti, two former professional dancers. Julie then joined began her professional career at Festival Ballet of Providence after graduating from high School. Over her years as a ballet dancer, Julie performed many lead roles such as Swanhilda in Coppelia, Titania in A Mid-Summer Night's Dream, Cinderella, Belle from Beauty and The Beast, Pas De Duex from Graduation Ball, and Dew Drop and Snow Queen from The Nutcracker.

Julie is a firm believer in having children perform as much as possible to grow their confidence and artistry.

Julie also founded the professional adult performance group, Sparkling Diamond Dancers that perform a Cabaret style show.

 She is also taking on a new role as Event Manager and running The Cannery Music Hall along with her husband Josh Fitzgerald.

Kathleen Lamprey

Theatre Director

Kathy Lamprey is excited to begin her 5th year as Theatre Director at Fitzgerald Performing Arts. A retired elementary school teacher from Grafton Public Schools, she has spent her adult life working with children and youth both academically and in the Arts. Music and Theatre are two of her passions. She has sung with several Community Choruses, performed in Musicals and directed Variety shows over the years. Her favorite Musical was The Sound of Music and the thrill of her life was meeting the real Maria Von Trapp in Vermont and traveling to Austria to visit where the movie was filmed. Kathy has written, adapted and directed many plays for her schools throughout her teaching career and has had the pleasure of directing Alice The Musical, Peter Pan, Jungle Book, and Aladdin Trouble at Fitzgerald Performing Arts. This year she will continue teaching Acting Skills in her Theatre Arts and Youth Theatre Company classes and Directing this year's Musical, a rvival and even more spectacular version of Alice The Musical. She is also adding a Creative Dramatics Class for our youngest thespians and 2 Musical Production Classes for performances in our very own in-house Theatre!
